Look at my beautiful new clutch from Luna on the Moon (Etsy)! Isn’t it wonderful? I needed a new bag for my work Christmas party and I needed something glitzy. I looked high and low, designer and otherwise and I stumbled across LOTM on Etsy at just the right time. A quick message through the Etsy app secured me my very own colour-way (blue and gold are not an existing design) and it was on its way to me a couple of days later! I can’t recommend this seller enough; she was a joy to communicate with.
I’ll post more pictures when I get some decent light but for now, the above photo will have to do (taken in the conservatory when it first arrived – I was so excited and it was packaged beautifully).
I needed some gifts for the Nephews (UK and Aus) and I found The Kid Who (.eu) online and then realised that they have an actual brick-store in Brighton, which is local to me. My parcel came wrapped in the most imaginative and wonderful way, even with a bag of freebie sweets thrown in for good measure. I managed to salvage some of the bags and stickers and re-purpose them for gift wrapping. I got some super things, including these nesting dolls, this plate, this book (teaching kids to count to 100, which is amazing), amongst other lovely things. I’ll most definitely be back for birthdays, etc. in the future and I recommend that you check them out too.
I’m not writing this particular update to rave about Wagamama (we all know how good Wags is…) but instead I am going to show off and tell you that Deliveroo in Brighton delivered this wonderful bag of goods to my workplace for only £2.50! What a great service.
Random car-selfie. I love bright, dry, winter days – my favourite combination is sunglasses and scarves.
These three photos represent CHRISTMAS. The first one is one of the truffles from our Hotel Chocolat couples advent calendar (which I’ve just discovered is 50% off at the moment – bargain). It was delicious but it’s now 3 days after Christmas and we’ve still not emptied it! Oops.
The other photos are our miniature tree (from Waitrose) and nativity scene (not so much a nativity as a lit-up wooden house with animals on the lawn). Doesn’t it all look sparkly and wonderful?
MeatLiquor Brighton is a wonderful, wonderful place if you like burgers… and liquor. This is their amazing Christmas burger. Need I say more? Here are the menu entries for the three things that I had… all of which were delicious.
After the above and a couple of G&Ts, I sure did regret it in the morning. I had a terrible hangover the following day. I must be getting old!
A few days after the burger I went to my work Christmas party. It was a masked ball and the above was my mask. Not too bad for £6.99 from H&M! It was gold and sparkly with ribbon ties. The party was good, the food was good, there was a lot of alcohol (a lot, a lot) and I had THE worst hangover of my entire life. But I got through it and that’s me done with drinking for another 6 months!
We did some Christmas Eve shopping in Guildford, Surrey. It looks like I eat a lot of burgers, but I don’t really. But they are my favourite food, so I do tend to pick burger places more than other places. Five Guys is my favourite burger of them all. I get mine loaded with cheese, pickles, mustard, fried onions, and mayo and it is perfection.
I had a quick look in Jo Malone as well as a quick run around House of Fraser. I needed a few last minute gifts and it was a good last-minute dash. The sales had already started, which was advantageous.
The sad news is that I fell in love with a Jo Malone fragrance that I discovered was being discontinued when I was already on my way home. It’s sold out everywhere online and I had a bottle in my hands in the shop! Vanilla & Anise (in case you were wondering). It really reminded me of Lush’s Dear John (from the Lush olden days).
This 3×2 was all taken on Boxing day. We had a lovely Christmas day followed by a lovely Boxing day. I got to spend the day with my Dad, Mum, Sister, future Brother in Law and my wonderful Nephew, R. The top left is a wooden puzzle that I got him from John Lewis. I recommend it, it’s a great wooden toy. Then there’s me and The Husband; we went for a walk on Bexhill beach because it was really windy the and the waves were huge and I wanted to see them. It’s so photogenic there and hopefully we’ll go back soon for a proper look around.
Here you can see my new giraffe plate from Anthropologie, my day-after-boxing-day full English from Cote in Horsham, a random building shot, my new Moomin scarf (christmas present from the little sister), some berries from the garden, and a delicious all butter biscuit sat on top of my new John Lewis blue diamond cushion.
So there’s a quick catch up from me. Apologies for the lack of detail. I’m hoping that in 2016 I will have more time to blog more often (we will see). Thanks for taking the time to have a look at my pictures; it is appreciated, as always.
I’m back to work tomorrow (boo!) so I’m going to go to bed.
p.s. Just finished Pretty Little Liars season 6. Ooooo!
